I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change. As a counselor, my goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to work toward their personal goals.
I take a strengths-based, person-centered, and culturally responsive approach to counseling. I have several years of experience working in mental health and rehabilitation settings, including outpatient mental health, vocational rehabilitation, community-based services, and individual counseling. I have supported clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, serious mental illness, substance use concerns, life transitions, disability-related challenges, neurodivergence, vocational and personal adjustment concerns, and more.
I hold a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from The George Washington University, where I was honored with the Donald C. Linkowski Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Rehabilitation Counseling. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law. My background allows me to bring a thoughtful, holistic, and advocacy-informed perspective to my work with clients.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. I am fluent in both English and Farsi, which allows me to provide culturally sensitive care and support to Farsi-speaking clients.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy cooking, watching anime and movies, biking, traveling, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. I am also currently learning Japanese.
